Berg Miller (she/they), LMSW, PhD, is a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor in the Master of Social Work online program. Before entering higher education, she provided community-based case management for adults living with serious mental illness and designed staff trainings at Thresholds, one of the Midwest's largest behavioral health organizations. For more than a decade, Berg has worked in social work education through teaching, field education, curriculum development, and educational innovation. She is passionate about making complex and abstract concepts engaging, accessible, and relevant to real-world social work practice.
After living in Buffalo, New York, for 12 years, Berg relocated to Easthampton, Massachusetts, in 2026. Outside of work, they enjoy hiking and exploring Western Massachusetts with their family.
